The Australian Local Government Bicycle Account is a survey conducted by the Australian Bicycle Council to collect information about the bicycle-related activities of local councils in Australia.
The survey is undertaken to understand at a national level:
- how councils prioritise and fund cycling initiatives
- the types and extent of cycling infrastructure in place
- how the Australian Bicycle Council can better facilitate local government encouragement of cycling
The survey aims to provide longitudinal data that describes progress over time. The surveys are available on the following pages:
